Tribute Portfolio, part of Marriott Bonvoy’s hotel collection, has opened The Ballard in Mumbai’s historic Ballard Estate. The opening marks the brand’s debut in the city. The hotel features 47 rooms, including a Presidential Suite, inspired by the architectural charm and maritime history of old Bombay. It aims to connect guests with Mumbai’s rich cultural heritage.

The Ballard features Art Deco-inspired interiors that reinterpret South Mumbai’s Neoclassical and Edwardian architecture. Its location near landmarks such as the General Post Office and Mumbai Port offers easy access to the city’s historic and cultural attractions.

Dining options include Goma, a pan-Asian restaurant, and Goma Sky, a rooftop lounge. The Kettle Room, a lobby café, serves locally brewed chai and speciality coffee.

Kiran Andicot, Senior Vice President, South Asia, Marriott International, said: “Tribute Portfolio brings together independent hotels with their own identity, each shaped by its surroundings.” The Ballard aims to offer an authentic guest experience rooted in the character of its neighbourhood.

The hotel also provides convenient connections to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport and other parts of Mumbai. Guests can use CSMT station and Metro Line 3 to travel around the city.

As part of Marriott Bonvoy, The Ballard allows members to earn and redeem points during their stays. The opening also supports Tribute Portfolio’s expansion in India, bringing another distinctive, culturally inspired property to its collection.
