Air Premia partners with Thai Airways for expanded connectivity
Air Premia, South Korea’s only hybrid service carrier, has announced an interline partnership with Thai Airways, Thailand’s national flag carrier, to enhance connectivity between Southeast Asia, India, and the Americas. The collaboration, set to commence on 30 March, aims to capture transit demand via Incheon and expand Thai Airways’ network into the US market.
The agreement allows for joint ticketing, enabling passengers to travel seamlessly across both airlines’ networks with a single booking. This partnership will connect Air Premia’s long-haul routes from Incheon to major US destinations such as Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco, with Thai Airways’ extensive network, including domestic routes in Thailand and international routes across Asia, Europe, and Oceania.
Currently, there are no direct flights between Thailand and the United States, making this partnership a strategic move to facilitate travel between these regions. Thai Airways, a founding member of the Star Alliance, operates from Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport and offers three daily flights on the Incheon-Bangkok route, providing increased flexibility for passengers.
An Air Premia official stated, “Through this interline partnership with Thai Airways, a Star Alliance member, we expect to expand transit demand from Southeast Asia and India to the Americas.” The collaboration is expected to broaden travel options and support the growth of transit demand to the Americas, benefiting passengers with more choices and convenience
