While Mexico and the Caribbean are popular hot spots for Americans looking for winter sun, the good news is that you don’t have to go that far if you’re chasing the sun this winter.
According to a new report from WalletHub, these are the top five U.S. destinations for a sunny getaway this winter.
5. Phoenix, Arizona
Phoenix boasts pleasant, mild temperatures and plenty of sunshine during the winter months, making it a great place to escape the cold and snow.
With the weather warm, but not too hot, this makes it a great time of year to explore the great outdoors in this beautiful part of the world.
Phoenix boasts incredible hiking trails. Some of the best of these include the trails in the Phoenix Mountains Preserve, the Hole-in-the Rock trail, and the Mormon Trailhead.
